What is the strip method?

The strip method is a surgical transplant procedure in which a small strip of scalp is removed from the back of the head. Once removed, our technicians can rapidly harvest thousands of individual hair follicles to transplant into the thinning or balding areas of the scalp. The transplanted follicles are integrated into the scalp to restore a more attractive, youthful hairline and increase volume in the regions that have begun thin or go bald, from hairline to crown.

What to expect

The strip method involves removing a strip of scalp, and then closing the incisions with stitches on the back of the scalp. Once healed, an almost invisible linear scar will be on the back of the scalp that is easily hidden with medium to long hairstyles.
